Local Motocross Tracks

If you live in an area where local MX tracks offer weekday/weekend riding, well you're one lucky duck.  My closest track is 90 minutes away and charges a $500 track rental fee.  Now don't get me wrong, it's a great track and the price is probably fair.  It's just that my money trees haven't bloomed this year so it's not really an option.

If you have a local track, just contact the track owner.  Many are willing to work with you as long as it doesn't affect their racing schedule.  You might offer to work their races for free (concession stand, flagger, track maintenance, etc.) in return for low- or no-fee riding.   Many tracks have work days in order to prepare for the races.  Make yourself available and known by everyone there.  It should pay benefits.

You might also check the track schedule as many hold practice days on Saturday before the races on Sunday.  Practice fees are usually minimal so that won't be a deterrent.  What might make this less attractive is if the practices are grouped (by classes) versus open.  That might limit your number of laps and make this option less appealing.
